WHAT TO DO IN CASE OF AN ACCIDENT Although it can be a bit stressful, remember accidents do happen.
At this point it is very important that you stay calm and check to see if anyone is in need of medical attention. Call the police and file an accident report, especially if it's not your fault.
Filing a police report doesn't obligate you to go through insurance, but in the event that you will, can be most helpful. Call Prestige BMW Collision Center (201) 669-4585.
We will guide you to make the right decision: whether or not to start a claim, go through your insurance, or file with the other parties insurance. At Prestige we work with all insurance companies, arrange for your rental vehicle and guarantee all repairs. If you car is not drivable and the police have towed it away.
Not to worry, take down all information on where your vehicle is being towed to. We can make arrangements the next day to have your vehicle towed to our facility. At this time we can begin our evaluation and point out areas of damage to your insurance adjuster. It is your legal right to choose where your vehicle will be repaired not the insurance Co.
It is an illegal act for an insurance company to "steer" or dictate where your vehicle can be repaired. Your BMW is not generic and in fact one of its kind, this is where Prestige BMW surpasses your ordinary repair shop.
